a corporation owned by a group of four individuals in the
human resources and communications technology fields.
Knightsbridge was founded in 1986 around a core conviction
that there are significant benefits for organizations of all
types to continually seek to improve. We believe that people
within organizations are vital assets, just as financial, physical
and technological assets are. If effectively developed and managed,
people become strategic assets to help provide a strong impetus
toward adapting to change and achieving organizational success.
As we have had the opportunity to work with both public and private
sector organizations, certain common themes emerge that support our
underlying beliefs. Most individuals want to be a worthwhile member
of a worthwhile team. Given a supportive environment, they are anxious
and able to make a significant contribution that will make their jobs
more secure and their organizations more successful.
For this to happen, leadership must establish a shared vision and values
that clearly articulates the future direction and provides for achievement
of the strategic goals for the enterprise. Management's energies must be
focused on aligning what people do (i.e., their job related tasks and activities)
with key goals that support the vision. Employees must be empowered and provided
with access to information and other essential resources. Effective procedures
and methods must be implemented so that all employees can exploit their knowledge
to solve problems and make process improvements that are valued by customers and
all other stakeholders.
Implementing changes that become a permanent part of the organization has proven
to be a difficult task for management. For this reason Knightsbridge utilizes
the latest PC technology and world class software in order to support our organizational development processes.
